Week 1
Spent this week concepting tracks that were going to be used for the game, ended up getting them all onto one page and going around to people asking them what their opinions were on the different tracks, most people loved the intersections for the most collision possible when racing.
I got people within our target audience range to choose from 3 that they like and a majority voted for the Oval, Overlap and Side swipe tracks, We were all happy with the tracks chosen and I began modelling straight away.
The design process throughout concepting was simple because I had great feedback and design inputs from the team, Bradley was showing the game Wreckfest for their track designs and showing me all their layouts and suggested that I take inspiration from them when designing the tracks.
When beginning to create the tracks I mainly took inspiration from games like Grand Turismo and NFS, but my design process changed mid way due to me getting new information about the cars and the flow of how the game was going to be, I adapted my new work flow and kept the tracks very minimal and made the tracks quite fast paced so other players didn't get too far ahead and would not be able to get caught.
