Brad's Devlog
Week One - Day 1 We planned out the GDD and started on colour palettes, mood boards to then move onto the enemy and map concepts. The big part in map concepts was making an interactable environment for the player to avoid the floor.
Week One - Day 2 Once we had planned out the asset list I started modelling straight away as we needed to test the gravity mechanics as fast as possible.
Week One - Day 5 - 7 After finishing the models I then started importing the models to the scene over the weekend.
Week Two - Day 3 I finished the map and we started testing it out. The gravity didn’t work so I started on redesigning the map.
Week Two - Day 4 - 7 I had a hard time trying to redesign the map on a massive scale but with some help from Lorne we started by creating small environments of dining areas and bedrooms which made the map very abstract. By the end of the weekend I had managed to reuse all the assets on a new environment.
Week Three - 1 - 2 I started off with adding 3 planets to the map for more fun and had finished them Tuesday afternoon.
Week Three - Day 3 - 6 We had some playtesters try our game. They got easily lost and confused with where they were going so the following day I had to touch up the map by colouring each plane of the walls and adding signs.
Week Three - Day 7 Once the feedback was implemented we started creating the game page and testing if the built version had any bugs that we’d missed.
